Basement water leak repair
We’ll identify the source of water incursion in your basement and provide the most effective solution.
Causes of basement seepage include poorly installed waterproofing during construction, water penetrating through the top of the basement wall, hydrostatic pressure, air pockets in concrete, and – particularly in Singapore – high humidity and heavy rainfall.
Concrete basement waterproofing
Concrete basements are susceptible to seepage because concrete is porous. It may be possible to halt water penetration in a concrete basement by ensuring gaps and cracks are filled with hydraulic cement and then applying a high-quality waterproof paint, silicate-based concrete sealant or concrete waterproofing coatings.
In other cases, re-waterproofing may be necessary.
Interior basement waterproofing
Waterproofing the interior of your basement may be the best solution for a wet or damp basement.
Our interior basement waterproofing solutions include applying new waterproof membranes; re-sealing walls; installing mould-resistant reinforced wall lining to redirect moisture into the drainage system; and putting heavy-duty liners beneath basement floors, with a new layer of flooring above.
Exterior basement waterproofing
If water is seeping into your basement from the outside, the best option is a full-scale exterior basement waterproofing job. This can entail digging out around the house before installing a waterproof membrane.
We’ll also fit drainage panels or flexible extensions to the end of downspouts where necessary to make sure water flows away from the foundations.
Basement floor waterproofing
Our basement floor waterproofing solutions include drilling holes into the surface and injecting liquid polyurethane; tanking – applying coatings or bonded coverings to prevent water seeping through the floor – installing new basement floor waterproof membranes; and installing a drainage system to control the incursion of water and manage its discharge.
Basement wall waterproofing
Properties can settle over time, creating cracks in basement walls, and if the soil outside becomes saturated water can seep through.
One solution is to apply a filling of hydraulic cement. If an entire wall is wet, it may be necessary to seal the surface with a high-quality waterproof paint and possibly install a drainage outlet underneath the floor.
Wet basement waterproofing
We can provide a long-lasting solution to solve the issue of a wet basement, starting with diagnosis of the problem, which could be cracks or holes in the foundation allowing water to seep into your basement.
In cases like this, a new exterior waterproofing system is probably the most effective solution, combined with installation of drainage tubing below the floor connected to a sump pump.
Your basement waterproofing contractor with long-lasting solutions
Our basement waterproofing company delivers waterproofing solutions designed to stand the test of time, creating a long-lasting dry and safe space.
Besides protecting foundations from water damage, we solve all other basement leakage problems. Issues with a wet or damp basement typically include:
- The basement becoming unusable, restricting available space in your home or commercial property.
- Decreasing the value of your property and putting off potential buyers.
- Providing a breeding ground for mould and other harmful bacteria – a serious risk to health.
